Setting up Export Services for business
Only a business owner or principal authority can create an account and authorise access for others.
Follow the steps to set up your business for the first time.
Step 1: Set up myGovID
Already have a myGovID? Go to Step 2.
myGovID is a form of Digital Identity that lets you prove who you are when using online government services.
In the future, Digital Identity will be how most Australians prove who they are to government.
What you’ll need
- about 20 minutes
- a smart device
- 2 Australian identification documents
- driver licence or learner permit
- passport (not more than three years expired)
- birth certificate
- visa (if using your foreign passport)
- citizenship certificate
- Medicare card
Your Export Account requires 'Standard' identity strength.
Download myGovID from the app store and follow the prompts.
Download and open the myGovID app on your smart device
Enter your full name, date of birth and email address
Provide two Australian identification documents. Your information is automatically verified against government records. This only takes a few minutes.
Adding those identity documents will bring your account up to standard identity strength
Congratulations! You’ve set up myGovID
Go to Step 2

Step 2: Link myGovID to RAM

It requires an ABN linked to myGovID.
Skip this step if you know your business is linked.
Check business is linked
To find out if a business is linked to RAM via myGovID, sign in to RAM and look for the business name under Entity name on the Manage Authorisations page.
